Overview

Pets are Tamagotchi-style companions. You can own many, but only one is equipped at a time โ€” the equipped pet is the one that decays, gains XP and explores in your place. Unequipping a pet freezes its needs where they were. Every player is given a Black Cat for free when they create their account.

Each pet has a rarity, a level, a prestige rank and an ordered list of bonus slots drawn from its species. Care for it, level it up, prestige it at the cap and it becomes a stronger explorer and a bigger passive boost to your gameplay.

Rarity runs from R to UR and is fixed when a pet is acquired.

Care & Needs

Only the equipped pet has three needs โ€” hunger, thirst and happiness โ€” that slowly decay from 100 toward 0. Top them back up with feed, water, play and walk. Each action restores a need and grants a little care XP; every action has its own short cooldown.

Needs drop by 100 points over 24 hours. If hunger or thirst falls below 20 the pet is too weak to explore, so keep it fed and watered before sending it out.

Leveling

Pets gain XP from two sources and level up along a cumulative curve, up to level 50 at prestige 0 (the cap rises with prestige).

  • Care XP โ€” every feed, water, play or walk grants a small amount of XP.
  • Exploration XP โ€” a bigger chunk each time your pet finishes an expedition.
  • The level curve is 75ยทLยท(L+1) cumulative, so each level costs a little more than the last.
  • Per-pet counters (feeds, waters, plays, walks, explorations, items found) are tracked and shown on the pet's profile.

Bonus Slots

Each pet holds an ordered list of bonus slots, each filled by one of nine bonus types across three groups. A bonus's value ramps linearly with level from level 1 up to the cap shown below (measured at prestige 0). Prestige raises those caps further.

Slot count is driven by prestige, not rarity: you start with one slot and gain another every two prestiges โ€” up to six at prestige 10. Each new slot rolls a fresh random bonus from the pet's pool.

Prestige

When a pet hits its level cap you can prestige it. Prestige resets the level but raises the ceiling, boosts bonus caps and XP gains, and every second prestige unlocks a new bonus slot. The maximum is prestige 10.

Offensive caps grow +5% per prestige; endurance and care caps grow +3% per prestige. At prestige 10 a pet has six slots, a level-150 cap and a ร—2 XP multiplier.

Exploration

Your equipped pet explores in your place. When your exploration party sets out, each member sends their equipped pet rather than going themselves, and the pet's bonuses shape that member's share of the rewards.

  • A pet can only be sent if it isn't starving โ€” hunger and thirst must be at 20 or above.
  • Loot quantity, rare-drop chance, exploration XP and resource variety bonuses all scale the rewards your pet brings home.
  • While away, the pet's status flips from Idle to Exploring, and back to Idle when the expedition ends.
  • The expedition itself always lasts a fixed 5 hours โ€” pets no longer shorten it.
