Overview

Runic modifiers are special stats that can be applied to tools using runes at the Runic Anvil. They provide permanent bonuses like extra power, critical hit rate, or critical hit damage.

The number of runic modifier slots depends on the tool's quality. Common tools have no slots, while Uncommon tools get 1 slot, Rare gets 2, and Epic or higher get 3. Legendary tools can now be crafted through the normal quality roll and retain the same 3 modifier slots with a higher temper and bracket ceiling. Each slot holds one modifier with a randomly rolled stat and value.

The Runic Anvil

The Runic Anvil is the dedicated crafting station for applying runic modifiers to your tools. Access it with the /ebrunic command.

Select a rune from your inventory and a tool to modify. The anvil will show you a preview of the operation before you confirm. Some runes require you to choose a specific modifier slot or stat type.

The Runic Anvil is an advanced station that must be unlocked. It requires Furnace Lv15, Crafting Table Lv15, and Jeweler at max level (Lv7). Use /ebstation to track your progress.

Available Runes

Runes are consumable items that each have a different effect on your tool's runic modifiers. Some drop from comets, and every rune can be bought from the merchant in the Capital as you raise your reputation with them.

RuneEffect
Rune of Addition
Adds a new runic modifier to an empty slot. The stat type and value are randomly rolled. Fails if the tool has no empty slots.
Rune of Removal
Removes a chosen runic modifier from the tool, freeing up the slot for a new one.
Rune of Chaos
Re-rolls the stat type and value of every unlocked modifier on the tool at once. Locked modifiers are left untouched.
Rune of Shifting
Re-rolls the stat type and value of a chosen runic modifier. The new stat will always be different from the other modifiers on the tool.
Rune of Calibration
Re-rolls only the value of every unlocked modifier, keeping their stat types unchanged.
Rune of Ascension
Raises a chosen modifier to the next bracket, increasing its value. Fails if the modifier is already at the maximum bracket for the tool's quality.
Rune of Binding
Locks a chosen modifier so it can no longer be removed or re-rolled by other runes.
Rune of Focus
Adds a new runic modifier to an empty slot using a stat type you choose, instead of a random one. Fails if the tool has no empty slots.
Rune of Purging
Removes every unlocked modifier from the tool at once, clearing the slots for new ones.
Rune of Mirroring
Copies the stat types of every modifier from a source tool onto the target tool, replacing its existing modifiers. The bracket and value of each copied modifier are rolled fresh against the target's quality โ€” the source's exact rolls are not transferred. Requires a source tool, and fails if the source has more modifiers than the target's quality allows.

Modifier Stats

Runic modifiers can roll several stat types. Targeted modifiers are constrained by the tool: a pickaxe cannot roll a wood modifier, and an axe cannot roll a mining resource modifier.

StatEffect
โš”๏ธ PowerIncreases the tool's base gathering power, yielding more resources per action.
๐ŸŽฏ Critical RateIncreases the chance of a critical hit, which multiplies your gathering yield.
๐Ÿ’ฅ Crit DamageIncreases the damage multiplier when a critical hit occurs.
๐Ÿ“ฆ Targeted YieldIncreases the amount gathered when the targeted resource is rolled. The target is restricted to resources that this tool type can gather.
๐Ÿ€ Find ChanceIncreases the weighted chance of finding the targeted resource in the current area's gathering table.
๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Area YieldIncreases gathering yield while working in the targeted area.
โญ Job XPIncreases experience earned for the job associated with the tool.
